Featured Project: Ada Kitchen
For this project, we focused on solving several issues. Primarily, our clients felt trapped in their 1970s–era u–shaped kitchen. Guests would mingle in the dining area and nook while the homeowner slaved between the sink and stove. Secondly, a tight walkway made it difficult for guests to move between the kitchen and the socializing area. The finished project drastically opened the kitchen to create a more informal living space. The almost twelve foot long cherry island — complete with a custom book case and computer nook topped with a solid piece of granite — creates a modern, luxury space encourging social interaction among guests.
